“Captain!” a voice called from behind him.

The Betazoid captain turned to see who had emphatically called to him from far down the corridor. Walking briskly toward him was a plump Bolian Lt.

"Ahh, Dr. Hemux. Good to see you again. I believe we met on DS101 a few years ago?"

Hemux caught up to his new CO, a little out of breath. "Yes, Sir. I do believe so. I am pleased you remember and even more pleased to be on this fine ship with you."

"You sounded anxious about something?"

"Mmmm, yes Captain, I suppose I did. I had an uncomfortable moment a few minutes ago... down in engineering. I thought I saw some one..."

"Someone dangerous." The CO's Betazed senses had no problems reading the Bolian's concern. "On the COCHRANE? And we are not even out of Star Base. Are you sure?"

"Well, no. And that's the problem. So far it's just a feeling, combined with a sketchy memory. I could be completely wrong."

Canon did not appear concerned, although Hemux believed it only be a cool exterior common among Captains.

"Just the same, when the new Chief Security officer arrives, run a report by him and make sure. I'm headed to engineering for a look around. I'll see you soon at the briefing, Counselor."

"Aye, Sir," Hemux said, nodding. He had a hunch this would be the start of a good working relationship with his new CO.

==Scene: CSO's office
==Time: after "At Ease"

"I see," said the young Grissom. I tell you what. I'll check the rosters on both OMEGA and our ship and see if anyone matches the description you gave. I'll also check with engineering to see if anything is suspicious. Either way, it's out of your hands now Counselor. Thanks for the report."

Hemux nodded and grinned, although he really didn't feel like it. He didn't feel safe, even after reporting his suspicions to both the CO and security chief. What's more, he couldn't even be sure the junior grade lieutenant would even follow up on this. Gus appeared interested, but how serious he would take the Bolian's suspicions was to be seen.
